Working with me
Most doctoral students get stuck in the same few places. The committee asks for a power analysis nobody taught you to run. The data are collected and Chapter 4 is a blank page. The analysis is done but you can't explain why you chose it. These are the packages for those moments. Fixed scope, fixed price, no hourly meter.
-

Methods Consult - $195
One 90-minute working session on a specific methodological question, plus a written summary you can bring to your chair. Good for design decisions, analysis choice, or a committee request you're not sure how to meet.
-

Analysis Plan - $595
A written analysis plan your committee can approve. Research questions mapped to variables and tests, power analysis, assumptions, and the reasoning behind each choice. One revision included.
-

Results Chapter Support - $1,095
I run and verify your analyses, build APA-formatted tables and output, and walk you through interpreting every result so you can write the chapter and defend it. You write the chapter.
-

Chapter Edit - $595
One chapter up to 10,000 words. Argument, structure, citations, and prose. Returned in five business days with a summary of what needs your attention.
-

Defense Prep - $375
Two sessions. We work through the questions your committee is likely to ask and review your slides.
Work outside these packages is $95 per hour. Payment can be split into installments on anything over $500. If none of this fits, email me and we'll figure out what does.
Not sure which one you need? Book a free 15-minute fit call.
Testimonials
“I contacted Matt as I needed help with SPSS and statistical analysis. I am a doctoral student completing the final chapters of my dissertation. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and very patient. He is also very generous with his time and does not mind answering questions between tutoring sessions. I had contacted two other tutors prior to meeting Matt, and I did not get from them the help or quality of instruction I received from Matt. Not only is Matt helping me with the statistical analysis for my study, but he takes the time to explain and helps me to understand, which is extremely important. Thanks to Matt’s help, Chapter 4 was approved. Thank you.”
“Matt and I reviewed logistic regression assumptions and models, which is now the statistical test I am considering using for my dissertation research. Matt is super-knowledgeable, patient, and goes above and beyond to help not only with homework, but giving tips and tricks for statitical software and even help with writing up results and findings!”
“Matt helped me understand the numbers in the analysis of my statistical test for my dissertation! Having dissertation experience as a committee member, he was able to speak from the perspective of a dissertation methodologist. He understood my research and confirmed correct set up of my data in SPSS. He walked me through the execution of each test in SPSS and explained each step. He gave the concepts behind using one test over another and gave benefits/reasons of determining sample size using G*Power analysis for certain research studies. Yes, many tutors are great at statistics. Most of all, he explained the output of my test results in a way that I could understand and advise on how to present the results in my dissertation. Matt’s unique blend of being a statistical expert coupled with his knowledge and experience in the University dissertation process was the perfect gift for me as a doctoral student! ”
